PRIORITIES

As your Councillor, I am committed to putting public safety first because I believe that public safety is the first and most important role of local government. My policy priorities are public safety, preserving the quality of life in our neighborhoods and returning the City to its core services:

• Jobs, Jobs, Jobs
  Ensuring that commercial development that brings with it permanent jobs comes to Ward 10 as opposed to any other ward in the city.

• Accountability
  Make city government more accountable to the ratepayers and residents.

• Public Safety
  Making sure our communities are safe.

• Infrastructure
  Improving, maintaining and repairing our streets, sidewalks, and providing weed and graffiti abatement and tree trimming.
  
  
• Parks & Libraries
  Preserving, expanding and improving our parks, recreation facilities, and libraries for our children and seniors.
  
  
• Planning & Land Use
  Protecting open space, natural areas, and the character of our neighborhoods.
  
  
• Economic Development
  Make Durban more business friendly by cutting the red tape to help our local businesses thrive, expand and locate in Durban so that they can drive the economy and create quality jobs for our citizens.
  
  
• Safeguard the Ratepayers Money
  Hold the municipality and it's officials to account for the spending of ratepayers money.
